Ronice Müller de Quadros é professora e pesquisadora da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina desde 2002 e pesquisadora do CNPQ - PQ1C, com pesquisas relacionadas ao estudo das línguas de sinais, desde 2006. Pedagoga (1992), Mestre (1995) e Doutora (1999) em Linguística pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, com estágio por 18 meses na University of Connecticut (1997-1998) com pesquisas voltadas para a gramática da Libras e a aquisição da Libras. Pós-doutora pela Gallaudet University e University of Connecticut (2009-2010) com pesquisas relacionadas ao desenvolvimento bilíngue bimodal (crianças usuárias de Libras e Português e crianças usuárias de ASL e Inglês), com financiamento da NIH e do CNPQ (2009-2014) e pós-doutora na Harvard University com pesquisas com as línguas de bilíngues bimodais (Libras e Português e ASL e Inglês), com financiamento do CNPQ (2015-2016). A Prof. Quadros consolidou o Núcleo de Aquisição de Línguas de Sinais (NALS) na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina com dados longitudinais e experimentais de crianças surdas e crianças ouvintes bilíngues bimodais (2002-atual) e o Grupo de Pesquisa Corpus de Libras (2014-atual), integrante do Diretório de Grupos de Pesquisa do CNPQ, que está vinculado aos projetos de pesquisas envolvendo a documentação de Libras. A Prof. Quadros está coordenando a consolidação do Inventário Nacional de Libras que inclui vários sub-projetos para composição da documentação da Libras, contando com financiamento do CNPQ e do Ministério da Cultura. Estes projetos já estão sendo disponibilizados no atual Portal de Libras www.libras.ufsc.br, em especial, na página do www.corpuslibras.ufsc.br. Também faz parte do Projeto de Sobreposição de Línguas em Bilíngues Bimodais, que conta com financiamento parcial da NSF, em parceria com a University of Connecticut, relacionado com o projeto em crianças bilíngues bimodais http://bibibi.uconn.edu/index.html. Tem experiência na área de Lingüística, com ênfase em Psicolinguística e Linguística Aplicada, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: língua de sinais brasileira, aquisição da língua de sinais, bilinguismo bimodal, línguas de herança, educação de surdos e tradução e interpretação de língua de sinais.

Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford (1987) and a PhD in Deaf Studies from the University of Bristol (1995). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She has experience in the area of sign language studies, with emphasis on Literary Studies, working mainly on the following subjects: Libras, Sign Languages, Deaf Literature, Poetry and Signed Literature. She is the leader of the “Literature in Sign Languages” Research Group at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.

Bacharel em Letras Libras (2012), mestre (2013) e doutor (2019) em Estudos da Tradução, todos pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, onde também atua como professor adjunto, lecionando disciplinas na mesma graduação que se formou. Tem experiência na área da Linguística e dos Estudos da Interpretação/Tradução envolvendo línguas de sinais. Integrou o projeto Inventário da Língua Brasileira de Sinais, projeto que deu continuidade a composição do inventário da Libras, envolvendo dados linguísticos e indicadores sociolinguísticos de usuários dessa língua, tanto em nível nacional quanto em nível local, na Grande Florianópolis. Foi subcoordenador e coordenador dos cursos de graduação em Letras Libras – Bacharelado e Licenciatura – modalidade presencial, subchefe do Departamento de Libras da UFSC. Atualmente está cedido para o Ministério da Educação para atuar como Coordenador-Geral de Avaliação e Supervisão de Programas Educacionais Bilíngues na Diretora de Políticas Educação Bilíngue de Surdos da Secretaria de Modalidades Especializadas de Educação.

Is adjunct Professor at the Department of Linguistics, Portuguese and Classical Languages – LIP at the University of Brasília – UnB. She also works in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics-PPGL in the Postgraduate Program in Translation Studies-POSTRAD at UnB. Her research focuses on Brazilian Sign Language – Libras in the following fields: Lexicon and Terminology, Corpus Linguistics, Translation Studies and Interpretation of Sign Languages-ETILS. She holds a PhD in Linguistics and a Master’s in Education from UnB. She has worked in Technology and Languages, Lexicology and Terminography of Sign Languages, training of professionals in teaching Libras and training and professionalization of Sign Language Translators and Interpreters in educational, museum, cultural and heritage institutes. She is a member of the Free Access Research Group - audiovisual translation and cultural accessibility. She coordinates the Research Group on Technologies and Languages of Sign Languages in Brazil and in the World, in which she researches the field of Terminology and Lexicography and Studies of Translation and Interpretation of Sign Languages.

Is a professor in the Libras Department (LSB) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). She holds a PhD in Translation Studies from UFSC, a master’s degree in Mathematics Teaching from CEFET-RJ and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Universidade Federal Fluminense. She researches in translation of specialized texts, corpus organization and linguistic analysis of terminological units in Libras. She has acted as a translator and (ad hoc) consultant at Editora Arara Azul since 2005. She is currently leader of the Study and Research Group in Alterity and Mathematics Education (GEPAM), together with Prof. Dr. Rosilene Beatriz Machado and is a member of other research groups: Lexicon and Terminology in Libras: Translation, Validation and Technology, led by Prof. Dr. Marianne Rossi Stumpf and the Libras Linguistic Studies Group (GELL), led by Prof. Dr. Aline Lemos Pizzio. She is a member of the Technical-Pedagogical Advisory Committee in Libras of INEP/MEC. She has served as Coordinator of the Translation Team of the Letras-Libras course (UFSC), Coordinator of the Mathematics Degree Course at the Catholic University of Petrópolis (UCP) and deputy head of the Libras Department. She also researches in the field of Education, with an emphasis on Education for the Deaf, working mainly on the following topics: Training for Teachers and Translators, Assessments in Libras, and Mathematics Education.

He has worked extensively with Portuguese to Libras translation. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and researches in linguistics in the area of Libras with an emphasis on discourse analysis, production and understanding in Libras and levels of (in)formality in Libras.

Has been a professor and researcher at the Federal University of Santa Catarina since 2002 and a researcher at CNPQ - PQ1C, with research related to the study of sign languages, since 2006. She holds a degree in Pedagogy (1992), and Master’s (1995) and PhD (1999) degrees in Linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, with an 18-month internship at the University of Connecticut (1997-1998), researching on Libras grammar and the acquisition of Libras. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Gallaudet University and the University of Connecticut (2009-2010) with research related to bimodal bilingual development (children who use Libras and Portuguese and children who use ASL and English), with funding from the NIH and CNPQ (2009-2014) and did further post-doctoral work at Harvard University with research on the languages of bimodal bilinguals (Libras and Portuguese and ASL and English), with funding from CNPQ (2015-2016). Prof. Quadros consolidated the Sign Language Acquisition Center (NALS) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina with longitudinal and experimental data from bimodal bilingual deaf and hearing children (2002-current) and the Libras Corpus Research Group (2014-current). She is a member of the Directory of Research Groups of CNPQ, linked to research projects involving Libras documentation. Prof. Quadros is coordinator of the consolidation of the National Libras Inventory, which includes several sub-projects for the composition of Libras documentation, with funding from CNPQ and the Ministry of Culture. These projects are already available via the current Libras Portal www.libras.ufsc.br, especially at www.corpuslibras.ufsc.br. She is also part of the Code-blending languages in bimodal bilinguals Project, partially funded by the NSF, in partnership with the University of Connecticut, related to the bimodal bilingual children project http://bibibi.uconn.edu/index.html . She researches in Linguistics, with emphasis on Psycholinguistics and Applied Linguistics, working mainly on the following topics: Brazilian Sign Language, sign language acquisition, bimodal bilingualism, heritage languages, deaf education and sign language translation and interpretation.

Anna Luiza Maciel holds a degree in Letras Libras from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2021). She was a researcher on the Literary Anthology project that was part of Libras documentation funded by CNPq (National Council of Scientific and Technological Development), under the guidance of Dr. Ronice Muller de Quadros and co-supervised by Professor Dr. Rachel Sutton-Spence and Professor Dr. Fernanda de Araújo Machado at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Currently, she is working as an interpreter and sign language translator.
CHRISTIAN RATHMANN
Is professor and head in the Department of Deaf Studies and Sign Language Interpreting at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany. His current research areas are sign language interpreting & translation, L2 learning, teaching and assessment, sign language linguistics (agreement, aspect, discourse and corpus studies) as well as Deaf Studies (with special focus on accessibility and inclusion in the society).
CHRISTOPHER STONE
Is currently continuing to research deaf and hearing people engaging in in-vision interpreting and translation. He is also continuing to explore interpreter aptitude with Drs Robyn Thompson and Stacey Webb, and PhD Freya Watkins via a British Academy/Leverhulme grant SRG19191348. He is also exploring depicting strategies and experience as an international collaborator in the DEPICT project. He is a Reader in Interpreting and Translation at the University of Wolverhampton. He teaches on the BA (Hons) Interpreting and Deaf Studies courses. He is course leader of the MA Interpreting and supervises 5 PhD students. He maintains an active interpreting practice (BSL/ASL/IS/English); serves on the AIIC Research Committee; and is the current WASLI President.

JOYCE CRISTINA SOUZA
Holds a Degree in English from the University of Franca (2017), a Master’s in Linguistics from the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar (2020), and is currently a postgraduate student in Translation, Interpretation and Teaching in Libras at Unintese. She is a Libras translator and interpreter at SeTILS (Sign Language Translation and Interpretation Service) at UFSCar, a Libras teacher at SENAC São Carlos, vice-president of the Associação dos Surdos de São Carlos (ASSC), tax advisor to the National Federation of Education and Integration of Deaf People (FENEIS), full member of the Municipal Council of People with Disabilities of São Carlos (COMDEFSC) and member of the founding committee of the Association of Lexicography for the Americas - South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean (AmericaLex ). She conducts research in Libras Linguistics with an emphasis on Lexicography, Pedagogical Lexicography, Terminology, Socioterminology and Corpus Linguistics.
KATIA LUCY PINHEIRO
Is an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) where she researches and teaches on Libras, Language policies, internships in teaching Libras as L1 and L2, translation and interpretation. She is a member of the Inventory of the Brazilian Sign Language team for the Region of Fortaleza - Ceará. She holds a PhD on Language Policies from the Postgraduate Program in Translation Studies at UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina (2020).. She is a member of the CNPQ Research Group, Corpus de Libras, coordinated by Ronice Müller de Quadros. She is also an interpreter and translator from Portuguese to Libras and between two sign languages. She is coordinator of the deaf translator and interpreter and deaf language guide-interpreter working groups at Febrapils. She is the Representative of the Deaf Movement in Ceará and the Movement of deaf and deafblind women.

She is the leader of the “Literature in Sign Languages” Research Group at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
RODRIGO CUSTÓDIO DA SILVA
Holds doctoral (2019) and Master’s (2013) degrees in Linguistics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, a postgraduate degree (2010) in Brazilian Sign Language - LIBRAS from the Brazilian Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Community Outreach and has an undergraduate degree in Physical Education (2008) from the University of Passo Fundo. He has worked extensively with Portuguese to Libras translation. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and researches in linguistics in the area of Libras with an emphasis on discourse analysis, production and understanding in Libras and levels of (in)formality in Libras.
RONICE MÜLLER DE QUADROS
Has been a professor and researcher at the Federal University of Santa Catarina since 2002 and a researcher at CNPQ - PQ1C, with research related to the study of sign languages, since 2006. She holds a degree in Pedagogy (1992), and Master’s (1995) and PhD (1999) degrees in Linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, with an 18-month internship at the University of Connecticut (1997-1998), researching on Libras grammar and the acquisition of Libras. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Gallaudet University and the University of Connecticut (2009-2010) with research related to bimodal bilingual development (children who use Libras and Portuguese and children who use ASL and English), with funding from the NIH and CNPQ (2009-2014) and did further post-doctoral work at Harvard University with research on the languages of bimodal bilinguals (Libras and Portuguese and ASL and English), with funding from CNPQ (2015-2016). Prof. Quadros consolidated the Sign Language Acquisition Center (NALS) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina with longitudinal and experimental data from bimodal bilingual deaf and hearing children (2002-current) and the Libras Corpus Research Group (2014-current). She is a member of the Directory of Research Groups of CNPQ, linked to research projects involving Libras documentation. Prof. Quadros is coordinator of the consolidation of the National Libras Inventory, which includes several sub-projects for the composition of Libras documentation, with funding from CNPQ and the Ministry of Culture. These projects are already available via the current Libras Portal www.libras.ufsc.br, especially at www.corpuslibras.ufsc.br. She is also part of the Code-blending languages in bimodal bilinguals Project, partially funded by the NSF, in partnership with the University of Connecticut, related to the bimodal bilingual children project http://bibibi.uconn.edu/index.html . She researches in Linguistics, with emphasis on Psycholinguistics and Applied Linguistics, working mainly on the following topics: Brazilian Sign Language, sign language acquisition, bimodal bilingualism, heritage languages, deaf education and sign language translation and interpretation.
ROSILENE BEATRIZ MACHADO
Is a professor at UFSC, in the Department of Teaching Methodology (CED/MEN), teaching on the Mathematics Degree course and in the Graduate Program in Science and Technology Education (PPGECT). She holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Scientific and Technological Education from PPGECT/UFSC, and her undergraduate degree is in Mathematics from UFSC. She is the leader of the Study and Research Group on Alterity and Mathematics Education (GEPAM). She is editor of the Electronic Journal of Mathematics Education (REVEMAT).
